1. Information Collection and Use Luminary Looks is designed to respect your privacy. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the core features of the app.
Face Data Collection and Use: To provide our core feature of generating personalized, photorealistic makeup edits, Luminary Looks collects a 2D photograph of your face captured via your device’s camera. We also utilize Apple’s native Vision framework locally on your device to detect the roll angle of your face strictly to ensure the image is properly oriented before processing. We do not collect TrueDepth or 3D facial mapping data. The collected face photograph is used solely as a “canvas” to analyze alongside your selected context (such as occasion, outfit color, and vibe) to generate a customized makeup look and a corresponding step-by-step tutorial.
2. Data Sharing & AI Processing To generate your customized makeup looks, your captured 2D facial photograph, along with text prompts containing your selected style context, is securely transmitted to Google Vertex AI via the Firebase SDK. We utilize Google’s Gemini models to analyze the image and return the generated makeup look and tutorial text. Your face data is transmitted securely and is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your active request. It is not shared with any other third parties.
3. Data Storage and Retention All original and processed facial photographs are stored locally on your device within the app’s document directory. We do not maintain or upload your images to our own remote cloud databases. Because your face data is stored locally on your device, it is retained indefinitely until you either delete a specific “Saved Look” within the app or uninstall the Luminary Looks application from your device.
4. Third-Party Services, Advertising, and Affiliate Links To support the development of the app, we utilize third-party advertising and affiliate marketing programs.
5. Log Data and Analytics If the app crashes or encounters an error, Apple may collect crash logs (if you have opted into sharing this data with developers). This data is completely anonymous and is only used to help identify and fix bugs to improve the app’s performance.
6. Security We value your trust and use commercially acceptable means to protect any data associated with the app, including utilizing Firebase App Check to secure our API traffic. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
